BYOC² stands for "Build Your Own Community" and "Buy Your Own Coffee." BYOC² is a flexible, low-key, and informal time for various Grant County professionals to meet, mingle, and converse together. 

The vision of BYOC² is to foster connectivity amongst community members, encourage local community investment, provide information on existing local resources, and propel local business startups, expansion, and retention. Members of the Grant County Economic Growth Council, Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Main St. Marion, Marion Design Co., The Refinery, and many more local organizations are consistently present during BYOC². 

BYOC² occurs the first Wednesday of each month from 7am to 9am @ Abbey Coffee Co. (1500 S Western Ave, Marion, IN 46953)! Grab a co-worker, employee, or a friend and head to Abbey Coffee Co. anytime between 7am to 9am to drink coffee and meet your community!

If you have already made an animal in honor of your loved one we would still love for you to attend and feel free to bring your already fluffed animal.

A group of Art+Design students from Indiana Wesleyan University have partnered with individuals and organizations from across our Marion community to create installations in storefronts throughout Marion’s downtown square. 

On Wednesday April 25th from 3-5 PM, the public is welcome to visit Marion Design Co. (302 South Washington Street) to pick up a walking-map of the seven installations, which are all viewable from the sidewalk.

The installations, which are made possible by generous donations from members of our Marion community, celebrate aspects of Marion’s history and cast vision for our future, will be on view for various durations, depending on future building renovations.

USA Basketball Open Court provides children a safe and fun environment in which to play basketball. Children choose how to engage in the sport through free play, skill games, five-on-five, 3x3, and station options. 
Here's the schedule:
~ Ages 6-9 - 1 to 2 p.m.
~ Ages 10 to 12 - 2 to 4 p.m.
~ Ages 13 to 17 - 4 to 6 p.m.

As one of USA Basketball's youth development initiatives, Open Court connects children to local facilities, and the free-play setting allows children the opportunity to enjoy basketball in a safe environment while earning prizes for participation. Each open court program is supervised by USA Basketball-licensed coaches.
Open court participants earn points by attending sessions and various other opportunities. At the end of the 12 sessions, participants can trade in points earned for custom USA Basketball Youth Development and Nike gear.
